"You know in this economy HD is doing their best to keep a customer in their dealership, but with their prices who can afford to do anything custom?!
They even go to such lengths and keeping certain dimensions and other information from the customer so you "Have" to buy from them.
Well in my project I wanted to install Ape Hangers on my Softail and all I could get from HD was a part number, no lengths or any other information which would allow me to shop around for the needed cable lengths etc.
Now I don't mind paying for quality but buying from the HD dealer doesn't necessarily mean quality.
Then I discovered Dr. V-Twin from the HDForums.com online board. Dr. V-Twin had me all hooked up with a package which completed my conversion easy and trouble free. The good old Doc even recommended a set of Stainless Steel Magnum Sterling Chromite II cables that were not only the hottest thing out there but came in for a cost lower than Dennis Kirk could do for black vinyl stock looking cables.
Hey in my book these guys are TOPS!
Only thing now is that I've got the hottest set of cables in my club and everybody is coming up to me asking where they can get their own set. I'm spending time ordering for them because I don't want to "let out my source" ha ha ha.
My best keep secret is Dr. V-Twin.

"These guys rock! Two emails, one phone call, drop off my bike at 11am and picked it up at 5pm with the tunes rockin. Sound advise from Shawn and Al showed what he did. Class act on these guys. And to top it all off, the J&M 7.25 speakers and amp rock too! Finally to experience tunes on the bike as originally intended.

"Met Al and Shawn by chance, just walked in one night to ask some questions about a module problem - well, a lot of problems due to having my bike worked on by Bartels H.D. for 2 1/2 years. Long story short - Bartel's screwed my bike several dozen times (seriously). Sent it to get a shifter fixed, got it back and it would not start - wiring totally screwed up, thanks to yes, Bartels - Al & Shawn took my bike, re-wired, serviced it, found and corrected all of the mistakes that Bartel's made over the past two years and fixed them. They were the most helpful, thorough, easy going two guys I have come across in a very long time. I would HIGHLY recommend them to EVERYONE who owns a Harley. They will be forever my "go to guys." DR. V-TWIN ROCKS! Al and Shawn are awesome - love those guys ; )"
