"I have been following the Harley forums for years reading and reading about exhaust. I have had quite a few mufflers/exhaust systems since 1982, which all made sound/performance improvements.
With all the money I have spent on exhaust systems over the years, I just don't understand why I waited so long to get the D&D Fat Cats. Well, I guess its because I am a bit cost conscious.
I think it was back in 05 or 07, I had a pair of the Police Interceptor mufflers that provided good sound and quality. My son got to talking about the D&D Fat Cats(he had been doing a lot of reading about them) and I guess that got the light bulb in my head to flicker and I said: "lets do it!"
I looked and looked for the best price and then I remembered Dr. V-Twin, so I sent them an email and their response was quick and the price they gave me was within my tight budget. I called to order them and my D&D Fat Cat arrived a week after I ordered them, so my son and I installed them. I got the quite baffle and when I started it up, I loved it!
Did not go for a ride that day cause I was waiting on V&H to give me the settings for the fuel pak since I had changed the exahust. Well I finally got the settings and changed them and went for a ride and w---o---w. Of all the exhaust I have had this is at the top of the list I give it a 10+ as it sounds like a big block muscle car from back in the 60"s(everybodys ears are different) and the chrome on the Fat Cat is way above anything else I have seen. The engine just feels like it has a different cam in it.
My son's D&D exhaust arrived about a week later and I helped him put it on. He had already put a different cam in his 09 Softail Custom and now this exhaust. Well I am at a loss for words. Too much power for this old man. He got the standard baffle on his.
If Dr. V-Twin keeps giving reasonable(cheap)prices on the things they sell, I will be spending more $$$$$$ here. I could type some more and there are probably things I forgot but I don't like to type on these computers. First time I every did one of these things. End of story."

"I posted this on HD Forums but would like to share it with you as a testimonial.
People tend to complain when they get bad service and forget to give positive feedback when they get great service. So here is some positive, well deserved feedback for Dr V-Twin.
I have ordered from the Doctor and each time they have been fantastic. Drew is always on HD Forum and quick to answer questions. When I call, I get a live person on the phone, usually Shawn. He is very knowledgeable, courteous, and takes time to hear what I have to say. Never rushes me off the phone. If I leave a message I am called back within a short amount of time.
Thumbs up to Dr V-Twin! They have been outstanding to work with, great prices and simply put some of the best damn customer service I have seen in a long time.

"I have to say that I have never received this level of service before! Shawn is one hell of a stand up guy and runs a class act like no other. The prices are great, the product is great, and the response is top notch. From the moment I first contacted the Dr., there was no question that they have earned a customer for life.

"You know in this economy HD is doing their best to keep a customer in their dealership, but with their prices who can afford to do anything custom?!
They even go to such lengths and keeping certain dimensions and other information from the customer so you "Have" to buy from them.
Well in my project I wanted to install Ape Hangers on my Softail and all I could get from HD was a part number, no lengths or any other information which would allow me to shop around for the needed cable lengths etc.
Now I don't mind paying for quality but buying from the HD dealer doesn't necessarily mean quality.
Then I discovered Dr. V-Twin from the HDForums.com online board. Dr. V-Twin had me all hooked up with a package which completed my conversion easy and trouble free. The good old Doc even recommended a set of Stainless Steel Magnum Sterling Chromite II cables that were not only the hottest thing out there but came in for a cost lower than Dennis Kirk could do for black vinyl stock looking cables.
Hey in my book these guys are TOPS!
Only thing now is that I've got the hottest set of cables in my club and everybody is coming up to me asking where they can get their own set. I'm spending time ordering for them because I don't want to "let out my source" ha ha ha.
My best keep secret is Dr. V-Twin.

"These guys rock! Two emails, one phone call, drop off my bike at 11am and picked it up at 5pm with the tunes rockin. Sound advise from Shawn and Al showed what he did. Class act on these guys. And to top it all off, the J&M 7.25 speakers and amp rock too! Finally to experience tunes on the bike as originally intended.

"Met Al and Shawn by chance, just walked in one night to ask some questions about a module problem - well, a lot of problems due to having my bike worked on by Bartels H.D. for 2 1/2 years. Long story short - Bartel's screwed my bike several dozen times (seriously). Sent it to get a shifter fixed, got it back and it would not start - wiring totally screwed up, thanks to yes, Bartels - Al & Shawn took my bike, re-wired, serviced it, found and corrected all of the mistakes that Bartel's made over the past two years and fixed them. They were the most helpful, thorough, easy going two guys I have come across in a very long time. I would HIGHLY recommend them to EVERYONE who owns a Harley. They will be forever my "go to guys."
